After a hectic day at university I was tired as hell, the assignments, the group work, the presentations and the pressure of the deadlines were taking a toll over me. I reached my shared apartment at around 19:00 hours and the first thing I did was to take a shower and then decided to prepare a quick meal for me. After like 30 minutes I went in the kitchen and decided to make a quick sandwich, I distractedly began to slice the tomatoes, when out of no where I saw a spider crawling on the wall in front of me.
And this literally sent chills all over my body, since I was kid I’ve got a phobia of insects they literally give me shivers and I get panicky, and this time it was no different, being so distracted by the spider and feeling my breath getting heavy, I didn’t notice that unknowingly I somehow managed to cut my finger a bit too deep, I yelped and felt uncomfortable all a sudden. I slid down the kitchen counter and sat on the ground with my back pressed against the counter, I was literally taking deep breaths to calm myself but I couldn’t, I was feeling dizzy and my chest was getting tightened with every breath I was taking in, I bend my head on my knees trying to take be alright again but It was in vain.
“Love I’m home, where are you?”
I heard Liam’s voice but I wasn’t able to reply as I was feeling suffocated, and soon I heard his footsteps coming towards the kitchen and soon I felt his comforting arms around me,
“Hey hey breathe (y/n). Breathe okay. Come here”
All I knew is that I was lifted from the floor and was now sitting on his lap, he was rubbing my back soothingly and with his free hand he pressed my head against his chest
“Babe it’s okay, alright. I’m here now. I’ll protect you just relax okay relax”
“Sp—sp-spii-dder”
I managed to say breathlessly, he cupped my face and whispered
“It’s gone now baby. Come on relax”
After a while I felt myself calming down and was breathing normally, I pulled my head from his chest and looked at him, he had a small smile tugging his lips, and he again cupped my face and said
“You okay now babe?”
I nodded while bringing my hands up to push my hair from my face, when he grabbed my hand and exclaimed
“(y/n) your finger! Oh my god! You’ve cut your finger! Look how deep is the cut! We need to put a band-aid! It’s still bleeding!”
With that he lifted me from his lap, and we both stood up, he took my hand, while bringing it close to the sink, he opened the tap water and carefully rinsed my finger, and then lifted me to make me sit on the kitchen counter while he went towards the drawers to search for the first aid box, when he found it, he rapidly came towards me and proceeded to put some antiseptic on my finger with the help of a cotton, I hissed a bit
“Ah babe it’s stinging right bear with it for a few minutes”
And soon he carefully wrapped the band-aid around my finger, while having his eye brows furrowed, I smiled lightly and then brought my fingers to it and separated them, he looked at me and smiled, and slowly brought his lips to my forehead and gave me a small peck, he then pulled himself back so that he could look into my eyes
“Never do this again (y/n)! You literally scared me to death while watching you and to top it all you’ve cut your finger”
“I know I’m sorry it’s just I couldn’t handle it when I saw that spider!”
“Umm I know. But still babe be careful from now on. I don’t want to lose you or worse something bad happening to you.”
I nodded, and soon inched closer to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, while whispering
“I love you my muscle man! Thanks for being here and protecting me”
He hugged me back and whispered
“Anytime love anytime and I love you to so much my sweet baby”
